Hats

Fall has arrived in New England and people are beginning to knit warm things. I started to teach a class on hats.
This ski hat is one of the Sheep Shop Yarn patterns designed by Jessica Paquet . The pattern tells you to add ear flaps picking up stitches on the cast on edge after finishing the hat. I started with the ear flaps and integrated them into my cast on stitches to avoid a seam. Instead of single crochets around the finished hat I chose crab stitch.



The seed stitch hat is from Sheep Shop too and was designed by Linda Daniels. It was a very fast knit.
I added a third decreasing row and did ssk instead of k2tog. For this hat I used Sheep 2 yarn. It's so soft, the colors are great and it doesn't pill as much as some other 100% wools. I love it......
