Kirsten's Poncho
This is a fast knitted project., great to use up this left over yarns from your stash and to make space for new buys.
The poncho is made to fit any American Girl doll.
Yarn: Sheep Shop Company, Sheep 2 yarn about 1/2 skein
Plymouth, Oh My about 1/2 skein
Needles: Size US 9 dpn set of five, crochet hook size 5 mm
1 button
Gauge: 3.5 st = 1" in St st
Cast on 28 sts and distribute evenly on four needles.
Join carefully not to twist and place marker to mark beginning of the rnd.
Rnd 1: Knit
Rnd 2: M1 every first and last st on each needle (8 sts increased)
Rnd 3: K
Rnd 4 - 7: repeat rnds 2 and 3 another 2 times
Rnd 8: k to last st on needle #1, M1,
M1, k last st on needle #3, M1, M1 and k to end of rnd.
Rnd 9: K
Repeat rnd 8 and 9 until piece measures 5.5".
Using second yarn k 1 rnd and then p 3 rnds.

With second yarn crochet around neck opening using single crochets.
Form bow and sew on button.
M1 = make one (knit in front and back of st)
